Starting in the sage-flowered foothills near Lone Pine, CA, you will gradually tackle the 10,000 foot summit, catching sweeping views of the Owens Valley along the way. You will experience the next endurance climb up White Mountain to Ancient Bristle Pine Forest famous for Earth's oldest trees (4000+ years!) and explore Bishop Creek Canyon with its trembling aspens in explosive peak fall colors. A frenetic scramble down a winding, forested ridge leads you to strange geometric formations of Devils Postpile, and then you cycle up Glacier Lodge Road on Big Pine Creek. The cool-down at the end of the 110-minute journey take you around fantastic June Lake Loop, also with full autumn color!
