Description

Thrilling Western triple features with all your favorite bad boys–Charles Bronson, Burt Lancaster, Marlon Brando and Jack Nicholson. Films include: Breakheart Pass, Valdez Is Coming and The Missouri Breaks.

Breakheart Pass (1975, Rated PG, 95 minutes): In 1870, the soldiers of an Army outpost in Utah are supposedly suffering from a diphtheria epidemic. Fortunately, a train, filled with additional soldiers, medical supplies and a motley crew of passengers, is on its way. One traveler is John Deakin (Charles Bronson, the Death Wish series), an undercover agent posing as an arrested criminal. When Deakin begins snooping around, he makes a stunning discovery that there is no epidemic at the fort. The lie is actually part of a conspiracy between a group of killers and a tribe of Indians, who plan to take over the outpost and steal its gold and silver. Can Deakin foil the plan before it's too late?

Valdez Is Coming (1970, Rated PG-13, 91 minutes): After shooting a wrongly accused man during a tense stand-off, constable Bob Valdez (Burt Lancaster, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral) realizes the the fugitive's pregnant Indian girlfriend has been left without anyone to support her. He decides to ask everyone involved in the shootout to put together $100 for the squaw. However, this doesn't please Tanner, the posse's ill-tempered leader who publicly ridicules Valdez and has him severely beaten by his goons. The quiet and unassuming Valdez retreats just long enough to recuperate, and when he returns, he goes after Tanner with a bloody vengeance.

The Missouri Breaks (1976, Rated PG, 126 minutes): A rancher, a rustler, and a regulator face off in Arthur Penn's eccentric western. As a cover for their horse thievery, a gang of Montana rustlers, led by the laid-back Tom Logan (Jack Nicholson), buys a small farm adjacent to the ranch of their latest target/nemesis, Braxton (John McLiam). When the gang leaves Tom on the farm and heads to Canada for another score, Tom takes a shine both to farming and Braxton's rebellious, strong-willed daughter, Jane (Kathleen Lloyd). The slightly loco Braxton, however, hires the psychopathic regulator Lee Clayton (Marlon Brando) to root out the rustlers. With a series of unorthodox methods (and costumes), Clayton hunts down Logan and his gang one by one, even after Braxton fires him, but Logan isn't about to let Clayton (or Braxton) make him obsolete.
