This Paley Center for Media live event honors “MythBusters,” the scientific reality series in which Hollywood special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman test the veracity of popular urban legends.

Scott Collins (staff writer, The Los Angeles Times) moderates co-hosts Savage and Hyneman.

The panelists touch on such topics as: their interaction with President Barack Obama for the episode “President's Challenge”; the eight-day filming “formula” for episodes; and the authenticity of the experiments on the show.

Questions from the audience then lead to a discussion of the following topics among others: the one experiment that the show hasn't dared to film; why some experiments are retooled and then retested; and methods to avoid injury during experiments.
